Hunting

In our hunting area resides a large number of deer. Due to the good quality of food and shelter opportunities, we can observe trophies from average 300 grams as well as very strong trophies up to 500 grams.

The hunt is possible both from tree stands, in collective or single seats, as well as spot and stalk hunting.

Hunting period for roebuck (ordinary roe deer, lat. Capreolus capreolus) is from May 1st to September 30th, for does and fawns from the October 1st to January 31st.

Because our territory is directly adjacent to the national park, it offers the demanding deer ideal conditions for its habitat. “Our” deer show antler weights of 6 to 8 kg, depending on the area and the way they are dressed. In our area live and are regularly seen even stronger trophies from 8 KG up to over 10 KG.

Red deer (lat. Cervus elaphus) Red deer hunt season lasts from August 16th until January 14th, roe hunt is from October 1st to January 14th, and calves are being hunt from October 1st to January 31st.

The individual hunting of wild boar from the pulpit in the moonlight or even during the day is to hunt an interesting opportunity feral alone. In the districts of the beautiful Lika which includes our territory belongs, capital and high capital boar are frequently encountered.

Wild boar (lat. Sus scrofa) hunt is allowed whole year and there is no closed season. Hunt on sows is from July 1st to January 31st.

Due to the excellent living conditions and strict supervision of the hunt, Croatia has remained one of the European countries where the presence of the brown bear is high and is still growing. The trophies usually reach silver or gold rating according to CIC points. Our hunt is well prepared, accompanied and organized.

In well-equipped sleeping pulpits, our guests have enough time to observe and for a secure and precise shot.

Bear hunting season (Ursus arctos L.) in Croatia starts from October 1st and lasts to December 15th and from March 2nd to April 30.

In Croatia, bear hunt is not allowed in the period from May 1st to September 30th and from December 16th to March 1st.

A large population of snipe and quail inhabits our hunting area.

Apart from the game birds also hares, which are enjoying a large population here, may be hunted.

There are also predators: golden jackal, fox, marten, polecat and badger, which may be hunt by agreement. It is exciting to observe lions and wolves, which are protected animals here and their hunt is rarely and only with special licence and under special requirements.
Even small game like hare and rabbit are present in our area in good number and are often hunted by our guests.

Hunting season for common quails (Coturnix coturnix L.) is from August 1st to November 15th, Virginia quails (Coturnix virginiana L.) from August 1st to January 31st, for woodcock from October 1st to February 28th (29th) and for snipe from October 16th to January 31st.

Small game/predatory animals are hunt throughout the year.
